A Bridal Shower That Does Not Feel Like a Banquet
A lot of Orlando bridal showers get booked into the same hotel event rooms: pastel linens, a plated lunch, and guests checking the time. If the bride wants a bar, a playlist, and food she actually likes, Pour Choice Taphouse is the other option.
Saturday and Sunday we open at noon, which works for daytime showers. Evenings work Wednesday through Sunday. We are closed Monday and Tuesday. The room holds about 91 inside and about 20 to 30 on the patio.
Bring grazing boards, cupcakes, or any caterer. Walk food over from nearby Mills 50 restaurants. We do not host food trucks. The venue is 21 and older, so this is an adult bridal shower, not a mixed-age hotel lunch.

Reserve a section of the main bar. The rest of the taphouse stays public. There is no separate venue fee for semi-private showers.

How to Plan a Bridal Shower at Pour Choice
Planning is straightforward. Food can be brought in or ordered from nearby Mills 50 restaurants. We do not host food trucks. Semi-private sections have no separate venue fee. Full buyouts use an hourly drink minimum that we confirm after we see your date. We are closed Monday and Tuesday.
Step 1: Inquire with a Saturday or Sunday window if you want daytime
Daytime showers are easiest Saturday or Sunday from noon. Evening showers run Wednesday through Sunday. We are closed Monday and Tuesday.
Step 2: Decide how private you need the room
Most showers are semi-private: a reserved section, public still in the bar, no separate venue fee. A full buyout is possible when the calendar allows.
Step 3: Plan food without a venue menu
Bring boards and dessert, hire a caterer, or order from walkable restaurants on /food/. No food trucks.
Step 4: Use the space for gifts and photos
The photo wall and lounge work for group pictures. HDTVs can loop engagement photos. Keep the gift table in your reserved section.
Adult showers only
Pour Choice is 21 and older. Bridal showers here are for adult guest lists. If you need a mixed-age hotel lunch, this is not the room.
A Shower With a Built-In Bar Program
Hosts spend a lot of energy planning shower games so people do not stare at their plates. At Pour Choice the drinks are the program. Guests pour what they want, wander between the tap wall and the lounge, and still hear a toast if you grab a microphone or just stand on a chair.
The full liquor bar covers guests who do not want beer. That is common at bridal showers. You are not forcing a tap-only party.
If you want a DJ later, the room can shift from gifts to music without changing venues. Or keep it mellow and let the taphouse energy do the work.

Small showers (10 to 30)
Semi-private is the usual path. You get a section of the main bar. The public can still be in the room. There is no separate venue fee.
Bigger friend-group showers (30 to 60)
A larger reserved area keeps gifts and food together while guests still reach all 50 taps and the full bar.
Private buyout showers
Take the whole indoor space (about 91) plus the patio (about 20 to 30) when you want the room to yourselves. Private buyouts use an hourly drink minimum quoted after we see the date. Closed Monday and Tuesday.

Pour Choice Taphouse is located at 1225 N Mills Ave, Orlando, FL 32803, in the heart of the Mills 50 District. We are near Ivanhoe Village and a short trip from downtown Orlando.
Guests park in the large on-site parking lot at 1225 N Mills Ave. Nearby street parking is also available.
We do not host food trucks. For walkable food, use the restaurants on our food page, including Pop Thai next door, Hawkers, and Pigzza.
