Where Pour Choice sits relative to Ivanhoe Village
Pour Choice Taphouse is not inside the Ivanhoe Village business district. It is on N Mills Ave in Mills 50, at 1225 N Mills Ave. Ivanhoe Village is the Orange Ave corridor near Lake Ivanhoe, just west of Mills Ave. The two neighborhoods share a border. You do not leave this part of Orlando to go from one to the other.
This site already uses the same published figure for Ivanhoe Village, downtown Orlando, and Lake Eola: about 5 minutes. We are not inventing a mile count. Street directions are enough: stay on Mills Ave if you are coming from the east, or come across from Orange Ave if you are already in Ivanhoe.
If you searched "bars in Ivanhoe Village" and landed here, that is the honest answer. Pour Choice is the Mills 50 self-pour room next door to Ivanhoe, with a large free lot that Ivanhoe's Orange Ave strip often does not have.
What Ivanhoe is, and what Mills 50 adds
Our other guides already describe Ivanhoe Village as the slightly quieter neighbor: antique shops, wine bars, cocktail rooms, and patio restaurants. Mills 50 is bigger and louder: Vietnamese food, craft beer, a self-pour tap house (that is us), and the densest weeknight happy hour stretch in this part of the city.
A practical crawl that does not invent stops:
- Start in Ivanhoe Village on Orange Ave if you want a seated first drink or a shop walk.
- Come east to N Mills Ave when you want 50 taps, a full liquor bar, and parking you do not have to hunt.
- Eat in Mills 50. Pour Choice has no kitchen. BYO food is welcome. Pop Thai is next door. Hawkers, Pigzza, Black Rooster Taqueria, and Jay Lucy's are a short walk. See food partners.
We will not name Ivanhoe bars we have not already published. Lake Eola rooms we have named (Eola Wine Company, B Nice Patio Bar, Osphere, The Outpost, Aku Aku) sit south of this corridor and are covered in the Lake Eola guide. Tori Tori is the seated izakaya on the Mills 50 side, named on bars on Mills Ave.
How to drink at Pour Choice after Ivanhoe
Check in at the front bar, show a valid photo ID, open a tab, and wear an RFID wristband. The self-pour tap room charges by the ounce. Taste first. The full liquor bar is staffed if you want a classic cocktail instead of a tap pour.
Happy hour is Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 5 PM to 7 PM. Wednesday also runs 50% off espresso martinis on tap. Thursday is Thirsty Thursdays ($5 Fireball, $6 Jack Daniels, 20% off select light beers). Saturday and Sunday have Liquid Brunch from noon to 4 PM. Monday and Tuesday are closed to the public and available for private events.
